The Norton family and its antecedents have a long and varied history.  On their family tree you will find steamship captains, representatives to the Continental Congress, shopkeepers, photographers, building custodians, railroad engineers, and the odd spinster - wealthy or poor, famous or obscure. 

You can see from the lineage chart (link on left) "who's who", when they were born, and other vital statistics.  This factual information is the goal of most genealogists.  It may, at times, be easy to forget that these were real people, living real lives.   

Offered here is a brief look at one of the Norton family members and a glimpse at a generation of Francisco's. The Norton family maternal line leads back through the Warner's to the 18th century branch of the family - the Willings.
